Escape to the peaceful countryside of County Cavan with this charming Honkarakonee bespoke log cabin, perfectly situated, facing south to the waterfront of Commons Lough. Crafted from laminated solid log, this elegant cabin seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings, offering both rustic charm and modern comfort.The owners had it designed by a local architect to be their primary and permanent residence, importing it from Karstula Mill Finland in 2003. It was constructed onsite at Commons Lough by the Finnish master craftsman Mika Eriksson.



As you step inside, you`re greeted by an open-plan living area filled with natural light, thanks to its high vaulted ceilings and large windows. The front of the house boasts a warm and inviting space, ideal for relaxing and taking in the serene views. The more private sections of the home, including the bedrooms, bathroom, sauna, and utility room, are thoughtfully placed towards the back for added seclusion.



Surrounded by scenic woodland, the cabin`s location offers a true sense of tranquility while being just 2km from Belturbet`s shops, pubs, and restaurants. For those who enjoy the outdoors, there are plenty of activities to enjoy nearby, from walking and cycling to fishing and boating, with golf courses also within easy reach.

From the site, there is private access to Lough Commons for excellent coarse fishing.
